💨 Abstract
The story of Agnès, originally from the Ivory Coast, speaks about her journey through seeking asylum in the UK, and the repeated detentions she experienced at Yarl’s. In 2010, due to political unrest, she escaped arrest and fled the country, finally reaching the UK in 2011. Soon after, she was detained at Yarl’s Wood despite following all rules and procedures for seeking asylum.
