💨 Abstract
"The Abyss," a 1989 sci-fi film directed by James Cameron, was removed from Disney Plus due to a controversial scene involving a rat. The scene, where a rat is submerged in liquid to demonstrate underwater breathing, was deemed cruel by the British Board of Film Classification and was banned in the UK. Despite this, Disney Plus initially included the scene, leading to criticism from the RSPCA.
