💨 Abstract
Florida's Attorney General, James Uthmeier, proposed an "Alligator Alcatraz" detention center in the Everglades for undocumented immigrants. This facility, suggested to President Trump, would utilize alligators and pythons as natural barriers. Uthmeier envisioned it at the nearly abandoned Miami-Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport, spanning 39 square miles and holding up to 1,000 detainees daily.
