💨 Abstract
During the Kosovo War, Drita and thousands of other women experienced sexual violence at the hands of Serbian soldiers. This use of rape as a weapon of war is not unique to Kosovo; it has been documented in numerous conflicts, including those in Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The psychological and social impacts are devastating, affecting not just the victims but also their families and communities.
