💨 Abstract
Tony Gilroy and Steven Soderbergh had long planned to bring back a 1960s-inspired James Bond, aiming to strip away modern CGI and gadgets for a more classic feel. Their vision failed to materialize due to disagreements and a desire to keep Bond films relevant to contemporary times. When Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson sold creative control to Amazon MGM in 2025, the retro Bond concept became less likely.
