💨 Abstract

Glasgow City Council experienced a cyber attack that affected various online services, including planning applications, parking payments, and bin collection schedules. The attack, discovered on June 19, is under investigation by Police Scotland and other cybersecurity agencies. While no financial systems were compromised, the council suspects that personal data may have been stolen and has advised users to be cautious. This incident follows similar attacks on Edinburgh and West Lothian councils.
