💨 Abstract

A fire near Southmead Hospital in Bristol was brought under control by emergency services. The blaze affected a nearby home, laundrette, and builders' merchants, causing significant smoke and road congestion. The hospital remained open but advised extra travel time. The fire, deemed accidental, was extinguished by multiple fire crews using jets and hose reels. Local bus services were disrupted due to the incident.
