💨 Abstract
Deep below Greenland's ice lies the abandoned Project Iceworm, a network of tunnels originally planned to store ballistic missiles during the Cold War. Known as Camp Century, it featured labs, shops, a cinema, and accommodations. Recent geopolitical tensions have renewed interest in such underground complexes as potential safe havens. Camp Century, however, contains nuclear waste, posing a risk. Other sites like Wood Norton and Raven Rock Mountain Complex in the U.S.
