💨 Abstract

The article discusses the Pindar bunker, a top-secret, state-of-the-art facility in London, built to ensure the government can continue functioning in the event of a nuclear attack. Named after a poet admired by Alexander the Great, it was constructed at the end of the Cold War and is equipped with beds, toilets, food, and broadcast facilities for the Prime Minister and key personnel. Located deep beneath the Ministry of Defence, it can be accessed from various government buildings.
