💨 Abstract
Richard Gerald Jordan, 79, a Vietnam veteran with PTSD, was executed in Mississippi after spending over four decades on death row for kidnapping and killing Edwina Marter in 1976. Before his execution, Jordan apologized to the victim's family and thanked his supporters. Despite campaigns citing his PTSD, the victim's son, Eric Marter, insisted Jordan's actions were motivated by greed.
