💨 Abstract
The UK is experiencing one of its hottest June days on record, with temperatures reaching 34°C, affecting Wimbledon and much of England. This heatwave is unusual, with June temperatures exceeding 34°C only three times since 1960. Wimbledon is set for its hottest opening day, and parts of southeast England could hit 35°C on Tuesday. Scotland and Northern Ireland will see cooler temperatures and rain.
