💨 Abstract
The Metropolitan Police have introduced a new device, described as a 'bruising detector,' to enhance images of bruises, particularly on darker skin, aiding in the prosecution of attackers. Developed under Project Archway, this 3-D printed gadget uses a polarised filter to highlight injuries, improving evidence quality and building stronger cases. The technology has already shown success in Croydon and is being expanded across London.
