💨 Abstract
Christopher Brain, a former evangelical priest, is on trial for sexually assaulting 13 women who were part of his congregation at the Nine O’Clock Service (NOS) in Sheffield. The NOS group, once known for its nightclub-style services, devolved into a closed, controlled community where Brain dominated and allegedly abused his position, the court heard. He exploited followers who were isolated from their families and reliant on his approval.
