💨 Abstract
Recently, there has been a significant decline in gaming expenditure, particularly among young adults aged 18 to 24. The rise in console and game prices has contributed to this trend, with costs for new consoles like the Nintendo Switch 2 and games reaching up to £75. Data from Circana shows a nearly 25% drop in gaming spending for this demographic in April 2025 compared to the previous year.
