💨 Abstract
Santander has agreed to acquire TSB for £2.65 billion, aiming to integrate it into their UK operations, pending a shareholder vote. This move could result in the UK's third-largest bank by personal current accounts but raises concerns about further job cuts and branch closures. TSB, previously part of Lloyds and later owned by Sabadell, has about 175 branches and five million customers.
