đ¨ Abstract
Severe wildlfires on the Greek island of Crete due to strong winds have led to the evacuation of over 1,500 people from areas including Ierapetra, Ferma, Agia Fotia, and Koutsounari. Despite Crete being a popular tourist destination, with about 871,000 British visitors last year, the ferocity of the recent fires has raised concerns.
