💨 Abstract
Microsoft's recent layoffs, which have affected over 6,000 Xbox employees in two years, have led to game cancellations, including Rare's "Everwild" and "Perfect Dark" reboot, as well as the shutdown of Perfect Dark studio The Initiative. Romero Games, led by industry veterans John and Brenda Romero, also suffered, leading to the cancellation of their upcoming first-person shooter and the studio's closure.
