At Wimbledon, Aryna Sabalenka, the world No.1, narrowly defeated Emma Raducanu in an intense match, praising her opponent's performance. Raducanu, currently ranked 40th, put up a strong fight but lost 7-6, 6-4. Sabalenka commended Raducanu's return to form and predicted she would re-enter the top 10 soon.
