💨 Abstract
Tyler Webb, 23, was jailed for nine years for coercing a vulnerable woman into attempting suicide for his sexual gratification. He was the first to be charged under the Online Safety Act 2023 for encouraging serious self-harm online. Webb, who had numerous mental health diagnoses, exploited the woman he met on a Reddit support forum, persuading her to harm herself during video calls.
