💨 Abstract
Despite stiff opposition, MPs circulated the Universal Credit Bill against objections. 47 Labour MPs stood against the proposal. The proposed changes in the bill was initially associated with Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment (PIP). The Prime Minister acquiesced to the fact that the modifications would only apply to future applicants and agreed to introduce the PIP changes after a thorough review.
