💨 Abstract
On June 26, 2021, 32-year-old Charlie died of epilepsy-related complications after running out of his medication. Despite Charlie's efforts to secure an emergency refill through NHS 111, multiple failures in communication and procedure led to his untimely death. Charlie's mother advocated for inquest and discovered that emergency medications can be requested without a prescription in certain circumstances.
