💨 Abstract
EA's arcade racing series "Need for Speed" (NFS) has experienced a decline, with its last entry, "Need for Speed Unbound" in 2022 being a financial failure. Development of a new NFS game has been put on hold, possibly due to Criterion Games' involvement in the next "Battlefield" and recent layoffs. While racing games like "Forza Horizon 5" are still popular, EA's strategy for the genre remains uncertain.
