💨 Abstract

After a five-year absence, a direct train link returning to Eastbourne will enable commuters to reach London in 1 hour and 37 minutes, beginning in December. The service, which will operate Monday through Thursday, includes a stop in Lewes. The revival is a victory for campaigners, notably Liberal Democrat MP Josh Babarinde, and will benefit both locals and Londoners seeking a seaside day trip.
