💨 Abstract
Two years ago, I tested whether my family would notice my absence. Despite having a busy home with a husband, teenage foster children, and two grown daughters, I found that my family barely noticed when I was gone. This experience made me feel invisible. To fill my days, I decided to volunteer with a charity called FareShare, redistributing surplus food to charities supporting people in need. This volunteer work has filled me with a new sense of purpose.
