💨 Abstract
Plans for a direct train from London to Berlin have been announced, aiming to reduce journey times significantly. Currently, the trip takes 10-11 hours with multiple connections. The new route, part of a treaty between the UK and Germany, will also include Frankfurt and Cologne, benefiting tourism, trade, and job creation. Berlin is renowned for its nightlife, LGBTQ+ scene, historical sites like Checkpoint Charlie, and iconic food such as Currywurst.
