💨 Abstract
A former police officer, Adrian Matthews, and his 13-year-old son were attacked by six men on mopeds while cycling in south London. The attackers kicked the son and ultimately stole Adrian's £2,000 bike after a violent scuffle, leaving Adrian injured. Similar bike-jacking incidents have increased, targeting cyclists in affluent areas, often during training or commutes.
