💨 Abstract
Oakman Inns, a hotel and pub chain, has fallen into administration after nearly 20 years. Rising costs and declining customer numbers forced the closure of six pubs and the sale of 14 more to Upham Group Limited, saving 531 jobs but resulting in 159 job losses. The administration was driven by a post-pandemic reduction in customer numbers, higher operating costs, and economic pressures.
