šØ Abstract
In Paris, tourists from the U.S. are often charged 50% more than French locals for the same items. A reporter posing as an American was overcharged for beverages and a service tip. French customers receive free water and bread, and tips are not mandatory. This unfair pricing practice also includes serving cheaper wine and charging higher prices, deceiving tourists. Marine Gouberti from the wine merchants criticized the injustice for both the customers and the reputation of French wines and restaurants.
