💨 Abstract
Poundland announced another round of store closures, with 32 more stores set to shut down next month. This is part of a restructuring plan following its sale to Gordon Brothers. In total, 68 stores will close, downsizing from around 800 to 650. The retailer also plans to stop selling frozen foods, ditch certain distribution centers, and cease online sales. The changes aim to secure the future of the remaining stores and jobs.
