💨 Abstract
Anda Jansen, a campaigner and artist, was frustrated by the lack of cash-accepting self-checkouts at supermarkets due to her spinal injury, which made queuing difficult. After an especially distressing experience, she launched a Change.org petition for cash-accepting tills in all self-checkout areas, gaining over 65,000 signatures. The issue disproportionately affects elderly, disabled, and low-income individuals.
