💨 Abstract

Trump and the EU reached a trade deal, avoiding a major trade war. The agreement includes a 15% tariff on certain EU goods entering the US and a 15% U.S. baseline tariff rate on imported EU cars, semiconductors, and pharmaceuticals. It also involves significant EU investments in the US, particularly in energy and military sectors. For strategic products, including some aircraft and chemicals, a zero-for-zero tariff rate was agreed.
