💨 Abstract

Multiple countries, including the US, Japan, and several Pacific nations, have issued travel alerts following an 8.8-magnitude earthquake in Russia's Far East, which triggered tsunami waves up to 13 feet high. Nearly two million people in Japan were evacuated, and numerous flights were canceled. The UK Foreign Office advised British citizens in affected areas to follow local authorities' guidance. While the immediate danger has passed, countries like Chile and Colombia remain on high alert.
