💨 Abstract
Seceda in the Dolomites, a popular skiing and hiking destination, is facing overtourism. Locals have responded by implementing a €5 charge for accessing certain areas. Visitors' neglect of the environment and lack of preparation have contributed to the growing issue. Similar measures against overtourism have been implemented in other Italian destinations such as Tuerredda Beach in Sardinia, which caps visitor numbers, and Florence, which restricts short-term rentals.
