💨 Abstract

A giant 22-inch rat, comparable in size to a small dog, was found nesting in a Yorkshire village home. The sighting sparked concern from local Conservative councillors, who criticized the council for neglecting the rodent problem and called for a full vermin study. The rat was described as a massive sewer rat, and concerns were raised about potential health risks as rats can carry diseases. The council acknowledged the issue but stated that they no longer provide a wider pest control service.
