💨 Abstract
On March 20, 1974, Ian Ball attempted to kidnap Princess Anne, shooting four men in the process. Ronnie Russell, then 26, intervened, punching Ball and helping to subdue him. Nearly 50 years later, Ball was released from and appealing against his conviction for death and kidnapping. Russell criticized the decision, stating "I should have hit him a bit harder." for privacy policy and references were removed.
