Thomas Partey faces charges of five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, allegedly occurring between 2021 and 2022. Despite these charges, he is on the verge of joining Villarreal after his contract with Arsenal ended. Partey has undergone a medical and is set for an initial one-year contract with an option to extend. He has denied the charges and was granted conditional bail. The Spanish football federation is awaiting official registration.
