💨 Abstract
Byron Black, 69, was executed by lethal injection in Tennessee despite claiming he had no final words. Witnesses reported that Black moaned in pain, expressing that "it's hurting so bad." His attorney argued that his implanted heart device could cause extra suffering, a claim denied by authorities. Black was convicted of murdering his girlfriend and her two daughters in 1988.
