💨 Abstract
A former prison officer, Ruta Indrasiunaite, is accused of having a relationship with a 17-year-old inmate, Royston Perry, and smuggling cannabis into HMP Cookham Wood between April and November 2021. She appeared before magistrates, denying charges of misconduct and bringing prohibited items into the prison. Perry, now 21, faces charges related to drug and mobile phone smuggling. Both are expected to appear in court later.
