đ¨ Abstract
From October 12, the EU will roll out a new border check system (EES) at airports and ports, tracking non-EU travelers using biometrics like fingerprints and facial recognition. The system replaces manual passport stamping and will initially be phased in, aiming for full launch by April 10, 2026. Travelers from non-EU countries, including the UK, will register biometric data upon first entry, with subsequent visits requiring verification.
