💨 Abstract
On August 6, 1945, the world entered the nuclear age with the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, followed by Nagasaki three days later. Survivors like Yoshito Matsushige and Takato Michishita recounted the horrific aftermath, with immediate and long-term casualties, including many children. Despite warnings from survivors and advocates like Florian Eblenkamp to abolish nuclear weapons, global tensions and nuclear armament persist, raising fears of a potential nuclear war.
