💨 Abstract
An American woman, Aimee Betro, was found guilty of conspiracy to murder and related charges for her role in a botched assassination attempt in Birmingham, UK, in 2019. Betro, disguised in a niqab, tried to shoot Sikander Ali but the gun jammed. She later fired shots into the family's home. Betro flew back to the US but was extradited to the UK. She denied involvement, claiming it was a coincidence.
