In the UEFA Super Cup final, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defeated Tottenham after a dramatic comeback from two goals down, ultimately winning on penalties. Tottenham, led by Thomas Frank, took a 2-0 lead with goals from Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero. Despite PSG's possession advantage, Tottenham held on until the 85th minute when Lee Kang-in scored.
