💨 Abstract

In ancient mythology, Mount Olympus, Greece's highest peak, was home to the Twelve Olympians. Today, it attracts adventurers seeking myth and challenge. Starting in Litochoro, near Thessaloniki, climbers tackle a grueling two-day trek through pine forests and rocky terrain to reach the summit at 2,918 meters. The journey includes an overnight stay at a basic refuge and an early morning ascent with stunning views.
