💨 Abstract
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is considering proposals to raise the contactless payment limit above £100. This move aims to align physical cards with digital wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay, which have no spending limits. The FCA seeks to give card providers the flexibility to set their own limits based on customer needs and fraud controls. The consultation on these proposals is open until October 15, 2025.
