💨 Abstract
Nick Jenkins, former Dragons’ Den investor, revealed he left Russia after receiving a death threat over a sugar deal gone wrong. In his 40s, Jenkins was involved in a commodity trading company and faced a situation where a Siberian warlord stole $10 million worth of sugar from warehouses. After a confrontation, Jenkins had the warlord's assets frozen and received a death threat. Though not traumatic, it served as a wake-up call, prompting him to leave Russia.
