💨 Abstract

The clocks in the UK will go back by one hour at 2am on the last Sunday in October, marking the end of British Summer Time (BST) and the return to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). This means darker evenings but lighter mornings. While most electronic devices adjust automatically, some may need manual changes. The practice, inspired by Benjamin Franklin and later proposed by William Willett, aims to maximize daylight.
