💨 Abstract
Alabama executed Anthony Todd Boyd, 54, via nitrogen gas for his role in the 1993 murder of Gregory Huguley. Boyd, convicted at 21, maintained his innocence, calling the justice system "political" and "revenge-motivated." His execution, lasting 15 minutes, was described as the longest and most distressing nitrogen hypoxia execution witnessed.
