💨 Abstract
Amazon's latest Fire TV 4K Select, priced at £49.99, restricts the use of VPNs and blocks sideloading of apps, making it harder for users to access pirated content. The device runs on Vega OS, an in-house Linux-based system, which prevents the use of modified Android apps for unauthorized streaming. While VPNs will be supported via a software update in late October, the move signals Amazon's effort to curb piracy and enhance security.
