💨 Abstract
Thom Yorke has revealed that grief following the death of his ex-wife, Rachel Owen, in 2016 led to Radiohead’s seven-year break. He admitted he hadn’t processed his emotions, saying, “I needed to stop… because I hadn’t really given myself time to grieve.” The band is now touring, with Yorke noting music can be both a comfort and a painful reminder of trauma.
