💨 Abstract

British tourists in Jamaica are bracing for Hurricane Melissa, the strongest storm in 174 years. The FCDO has activated a crisis center, and HMS Trent is on standby. All airports are closed, stranding around 5,000 Britons. Andrew Tracey, a tourist in Negril, is locked in his hotel room, while Michaela Menezes shelters with her children.
